उदाहरण के लिए-

• A team of doctors has already reported the accident site.
• A set of new watches has been given to the school.

इसका आशय यह है कि यदि of के पहले singular collective noun का प्रयोग हो तो singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए a bouquet of, a set of, a series of, a chain of, a team of, a group of, a galaxy of, a flock of इत्यादि singular collective noun हैं और इसीलिए इनके साथ singular verb का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
