To put something across / over – to express something very clearly for the easy understanding of the people (लोगों के आसान समझ के लिए किसी चीज को अच्छी तरह से व्यक्त करना) His way of teaching is very excellent and that is why he puts his subject across/ over so well to the students. The motivational speaker put across the arcane religious matters very well to the audiences.

To put forward something – to suggest something for the consideration (विचार के लिए सुझाव देना) The committee put forward the vital steps for the control of the fast rising rate of crimes in the city.
